John Gollehon biography
John Gollehon was the offspring of Robert and Ann Tilson Gollehon, born on the 26th of May, 1811, either in Smyth or Washington County, VA.
On the 22nd of December, 1833, he tied the knot with Mariah Bonham (9/13/1812- 12/1/1885), the daughter of Hezekiah & Esther Scott Bonham, in Smyth County, VA.
John was highly recognized as a book author and publisher, providing gambling insights to beginners and professionals, aiding them in mastering the game and beating the odds. A visitation is scheduled for Thursday, June 28, from 2-4 PM at O’Brien-Eggebeen-Gerst Chapel, situated at 3980 Cascade Rd. SE, Grand Rapids, followed by a memorial service at 4 PM. The service will be officiated by Pastor Ron Klepal from West Lansing Church of Christ. John’s instructional gambling books, many considered classics, have graced the shelves of gamblers for over thirty years.
